Members of Pasay City Police Intelligence Section arrested four Chinese nationals for creating trouble and for possession of illegal drugs early Wednesday morning, Nov. 16.
Col. Byron Tabernilla, city police chief, identified the suspects as Mai Jiang Wei, 40; Li Peng, 32; Liu Fei, 41; and Deng Lei, 29, all Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) workers and temporary staying at Island Cove, Kawit Cavite.
Tabernilla said the suspects were arrested around 2:45 a.m. on Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City.
The city police chief said prior to the arrest of the suspect, members of the city police’s Intelligence Section conducted surveillance at the place after receiving information about a robbery-snatching incident.
Tabernilla said the police spotted the four Chinese arguing and creating trouble.
As the police operatives were trying to pacify the suspects, they found in their possession two plastic sachets of shabu.
The suspects were immediately brought at the police custodial facility.
The city police chief said the suspects were charged with alarm and scandal and possession of illegal drugs.
