LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- Twenty nine individuals wanted by the law were arrested in an intensified manhunt operation by the Police Regional Office-Cordillera from November 6 to 12.
Records from the PROCOR Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) showed that the Baguio City Police Office and the Benguet Provincial Police Office made eight arrests each during the weeklong operation.
They were followed by Kalinga PPO and Mt. Province PPO with four arrests each, Abra PPO with three arrests and Ifugao PPO with two arrests.
Highlighting the weeklong manhunt operation was the arrest of four individuals listed as Most Wanted Persons, including one listed at the Provincial Level, one at the Municipal Level, and the two others at the Station Level.
Also, as a result of the intensified police presence and campaign against criminality during the same period, 57 municipalities in the Cordillera Region and four police stations of the Baguio City Police Office recorded zero crime incidents.
Also recording zero crime incidents were 22 out of 27 municipalities of Abra, nine of 13 municipalities of Benguet, eight of 10 municipalities of Mountain Province, seven municipalities of Kalinga, and five municipalities of Ifugao.
The police stations that recorded zero crime incidents include the Camdas Police Station (PS2), Aurora Hill Police Station (PS6), Kennon Road Police Station (PS8), and the Marcos Highway Police Station (PS10).
