2022 MAMA Awards to feature performances by BTS' J-Hope, girl groups
Organizers of the 2022 MAMA Awards (formerly the Mnet Asian Music Awards) have announced the artists who will perform and the emcees for the ceremony slated on Nov. 29 and 30 at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan.
Korean actor Park Bogum of “Reply 1988” will host the first night of the awards ceremony while K-pop artist Jeon Somi will be the emcee on the second night under the theme “The world we build together.” Park Bogum hosted the MAMA from 2017 to 2019.

The 2022 MAMA Awards said BTS’ J-Hope, who released his debut studio album “Jack in the Box” in July, will be performing at the event. This will be the first solo performance among BTS members at the MAMA Awards.
In addition, girl group (G)I-DLE and Jaurim will perform together in a collaboration number on Nov. 30.
Five new K-pop girl groups will also have a collaboration number on Nov. 29. They are IVE, Kep1er, NMIXX, Le Sserafim and NewJeans.
Stray Kids’ subunit 3RACHA, composed of Bang Chan, Changbin and Han, will collaborate with Jung Jaeil and Tiger JK for a number on Nov. 30.
