2 men arrested in Cavite for selling P1M stolen telecom cable wire online

IMUS CITY, Cavite – Authorities arrested two men who allegedly tried to sell online a stolen reel of telecommunication cable wire worth P1 million.

On Tuesday, Nov. 15, the Imus City Police Station (CPS) received a report from a telecom sub-contractor about the item stolen on Nov. 11.

The complainant also informed the police about a social media post selling the exact item for a bargain price of P110,000.

Authorities then launched an entrapment operation, resulting in the arrest of suspects Rustom Nova Alberca and Dominic Coquilla Lazala.

During the operation, however, the police recovered not only one but two reels of cable wires from the suspects.

Alberca and Lazala are now under the custody of Imus CPS and are facing charges for violation of the anti-fencing law.
