Retired AFP member shot dead by 2 motorcycle-riding men in QC


A retired member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-riding men in Quezon City on Monday afternoon, Nov. 14.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the victim as Lt. Ferdinand Martinez, 57, a retired AFP member and owner of Prime Rangers Security Agency, residing in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

According to the police, the victim was shot by the suspects while he was inside his gray Toyota Fortuner near a stoplight at the corner of North and Mindanao Avenues in Brgy. Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City at around 12:05 p.m. on Monday. The gunmen where on board a red motorcycle.

He was rushed to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center where he died while undergoing treatment, police said.

Members of the QCPD are conducting a follow-up operation to establish the identities of the suspects.
