Akari pulled off a stunning 25-21, 22-25, 26-24, 25-22 victory over fancied F2 Logistics to end its Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference campaign on a high note at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Tuesday night, Nov. 15.

The Chargers, who were already out of semifinal contention, drew strength from veteran import Prisilla Rivera particularly in the crucial moments to finish the conference with three wins against five losses.
Rivera unleashed another monster performance of 32 points highlighted by 29 kills including the pivotal back row attack that gave Akari the match point advantage. The 37-year-old Dominican Republic native also had three blocks.
An attack error for F2 Logistics sealed its fate as the Cargo Movers absorbed their third defeat in six outings, creating a three-way tie with Choco Mucho and Cignal at fourth to sixth places.
Janine Marciano and Erika Raagas combined for 16 points for Akari, which banked on its composure to outhustle F2 Logistics.
Despite failing to make it to the next round, Rivera remains thankful for the camaraderie and support of her teammates.
“I’m proud of my team even though we didn’t make it to the semis,” Rivera said through an interpreter.
Akari’s win outshone the efforts of Lindsay Stalzer and Ivy Lacsina, who finished with 17 points apiece for F2 Logistics.
