Over P6.3-M lotto, STL shares dispensed to San Juan, Pasig LGUs


The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Monday, Nov. 14, dispensed over P6.3 million lotto and small town lottery (STL) shares to Pasig City and San Juan City local government units (LGUs).

PCSO General Manager Mel Robles personally turned over a check worth P5,288,452.13 to Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, said the agency in a Facebook post.

Robles was also the one who handed a check worth P1,035,134.45 to San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora.

"It is expected to be used for Charitable and Social Welfare initiatives of the LGU," PCSO said.

Last Nov. 11, the agency also dispensed P18,050,052.33 worth of lotto and STL chares to Mindanao LGUs in a ceremony in Davao del Norte.

These initiatives were in compliance with PCSO's mandate of allotting 30 percent of its income to charity services, 55 percent to game prizes, and 15 percent to operations.
