Kathryn Bernardo's onscreen chemistry with veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez in "2 Good 2 Be True" proved a huge hit among fans.

In fact, they continue to receive warm reception despite the show's recent conclusion.

Kathryn acknowledged this in a post recently, sharing her on and off-camera experiences with the 74-year-old star.

According to the 26-year-old actress, she has been Ronaldo's "greatest fan" ever since she saw him in the 1996 Filipino family film "Cedie: Ang Munting Prinsipe."

Since then, she has been dreaming of working with Ronaldo.

"Whenever people asked me, 'Sino dream mo makatrabaho?,' my immediate answer would be 'Mr. Ronaldo Valdez,'" she related.

"Fast forward to 2021, it seemed like God answered my prayer because you agreed to do this project with us. You probably have no idea how much it meant to me and how excited I was."

Kathryn shared that on the first day of their shooting, she was "so nervous" doing a scene together with Ronaldo. She tried to remain as calm as possible and started to make small talk with him in between setups. And at the end of cycle 1, she really wanted to ask him for a photo but she was too shy. So she told herself: "Bawi na lang ako in the next one!"

The young star then tried to get to know Ronaldo day by day, cycle per cycle, then whoosh, they just clicked.

"I had no idea you were as matakaw and into sweets just like me!," she teased. "And ooops, pareho din tayo iyakin. Hahaha!"

"God knows how much I enjoyed doing every scene with such a brilliant and genuine actor like you, Tito Ron," she added. "Sometimes I need to wake myself back to reality because I realized nanonood na lang ako sayo sa scene."

Kathryn then remembered a certain scene in the series where Ron's character Lolo Sir appointed her character Ali as legal guardian.

She revealed how Ron went beyond the usual to help her deliver her lines.

"As I was preparing, I had no idea that you were waiting for me via zoom to give me much-needed support for that very special scene. You delivered your lines virtually as we shot the scene just to be sure I deliver the right emotions," she shared.

"You have no idea how much I appreciate that, Tito Ron," Kathryn said.

She believes her character wouldn't have been as effective without Ronaldo's help.

"I wouldn't have been able to do every single scene if not for your support. So funny na we got to the point where we say 'blah blah blah' just to control our emotions during rehearsals. I love how much you would surprise us every scene kung ano gagawin mo and we would just ride along."

Kathryn also appreciates their random talks about life.

"Including your love life," she quipped, but turning serious, she added: "your experienced, your favorite food, and so much more."

"You trusted me fully and I will always be grateful for that. You showed us who you really are behind the 'veteran actor' people know you as, and we just loved you even more."

The Kapamilya artist admitted that she actually didn't expect to be so close to the seasoned star.

"Thank you, thank you... I'm crying (again) as I compose this message because I realize this is it.. it's finally over."

Kathryn is sad that she won't get to hug Ronaldo as often and sees and hears Ronaldo's laugh every morning.

"I won't be able to hear Nieva coming to me saying 'ano daw snacks mo, sabi ni lolo mo?,'" she detailed. "I won't be hearing Deej telling me, 'Wag kung ano ano pinapakain mo kay Tito Ron! Yan ka nanaman.'"

Daniel Padilla's longtime reel and real partner continued: "I won't get to go to your dressing room just to hug you whenever I feel sleepy or moody, I won't be able to help you with your phone anymore whenever you get confused, I won't get to eat all the yummy meals with you as often. I won't get to do scenes with my favorite person anymore."

But then as people always say, no goodbyes, Kathryn said.

She declared that the memories they've shared for a year will always be in her heart forever.

"You know that I will always be here for you, right? Kung makulit si Ali, mas makulit si Kath. I will always protect you and check on you (bec we always want what's best for you). Seeing you happy make us all happy (I'm saying these on behalf of your "trusted circle")," she said.

"I love you so much, my lolo sir! Alipot and Kath are both lucky to have experienced this journey with you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Tito Ron. You are the lolo I never had."
