'Amihan' brings light rains over parts of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos Region

Several parts of Cagayan Valley, Cordilera Administrative Region (CAR), and Ilocos Region may experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, locally called “amihan,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and localized thunderstorms.
ITCZ is a region where winds coming from the northeast and southeast hemispheres converge.
PAGASA advised the public to stay vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, which are often accompanied by sudden heavy rains, lightning, thunder, gusty winds, and sometimes hail.
Moreover, no gale warnings were raised on the country's seaboards on Tuesday, as the entire archipelago will have light to moderate seas.
Small boats and other sea vessels are safe to sail.
