Samar's sixth most wanted nabbed

TACLOBAN CITY – A former member of a private armed group listed as the sixth most wanted person in Samar province was nabbed in Santa Margarita, Samar on Sunday, Nov. 13.

The suspect was identified as Nonito Calagos, alias ‘‘Nene,’’ 58, and a resident of Barangay Mabuhay, Santa Margarita.

Calagos was reportedly a former member of the Deborbon gun-for-hire group operating in Samar.

Suspect had a standing warrant of arrest for murder issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 22 in Calbayog City, Samar with no bail recommended.

Calagos was arrested in his house by the local police, the Regional Intelligence Unit, PNP-Special Action Force, Samar 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit.
