ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Zamboanga Peninsula and other parts of northwestern Mindanao experienced a massive power outage on Monday, Nov. 14.
The NGCP said the power outage occurred after the Baloi-Aurora 138-kilovolt (KV) and Agus 5-Aurora 138-KV lines tripped off at 10 a.m.
Loss of power was experienced by power distributors Zaneco, Zamcelco, Zamsureco-1, Zamsureco-2, Moelci-1, Moelci-2, and Laneco.
Other affected areas were Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte.
Power was restored in these areas after the Baloi-Aurora 138-KV line was re-energized at 10:27 a.m. and the Agus 5-Aurora 138-KV line minutes later.
