Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Chairman Catalino Cuy visited the Muntinlupa City hall on Monday, Nov. 14, to witness the awarding of the Best Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) implementers.
The Muntinlupa City government, led by Mayor Ruffy Biazon, through the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Office (DAPCO) headed by Florocito Ragudo, recognized barangays that have implemented effective measures against illegal drugs in celebration of the Drug Abuse Prevention & Control (DAPC) Week slated from Nov. 14 to 18.
“Buo ang paniniwala ko na ma-me-maintain ng Muntinlupa ang pagiging peaceful at drug-free nito (I strongly believe that Muntinlupa will maintain its status as a peaceful and drug-free city),” said Cuy at the Muntinlupa City government's flag-raising ceremony.
Barangay Sucat was recognized as the Best BADAC in Muntinlupa. Barangay Chairman Rafael Sevilla received a plaque of recognition and P20,000 cash incentive.
Barangay Poblacion was first runner-up and received a plaque and P15,000, while Barangay Bayanan was second runner-up and was awarded a plaque and P10,000.
Barangays Sucat and Poblacion were recognized as Best MAPALAD Implementers and received P5,000 each.
