Move over "Siri" and "Alexa", make room for "Revie".
The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has enhanced its digital assistant called "Revie" to make it easier for taxpayers to transact business with the agency.
In a press statement, the BIR said interested parties may inquire from the artificial intelligence service tax identification number verification and validation, location of district offices nationwide and eComplaint facility.
"Revie" was set up last year to answer taxpayers' frequently asked questions concerning various topics like registration, BIR forms, zonal value of properties and the bureau's eServices as well as the eComplaint facility.
The BIR said the eComplaint will help the public file grievances against business operators for non-issuance of invoices, tax evasion and other violations of the Tax Code.
Complaints against erring taxmen can also be submitted to "Revie".
The artificial intelligence service can be reached on a 24-7 basis from the BIR website at www.bir.gov.ph.
Taxpayers can also chat with the live revenue officers in case they need clarifications on the answer provided by "Revie".
The enhancement of "Revie" is part of digital transformation program of the bureau to make it more accessible to its clients.
