The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a road in Nueva Ecija, which it said, will provide better access to Barangay Homestead in Talavera, Nueva Ecija.
DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said that the newly-constructed road is vital as it connects Barangay Homestead to the nearby Talavera Bypass Road.
He added that the new road is the alternate road that diverts vehicular traffic from the busy carriageway of the Daang Maharlika.
The construction of the 2.55-kilometer road was implemented by the DPWH Nueva Ecija First District Engineering Office (DEO) under its chief Armando Manabat.
“With the completion of the P28.42-million road concreting project, micro-entrepreneurs will have more opportunities and local farmers will be able to easily transport their agricultural products to market centers in Talavera town,” said DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino.
