CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Authorities discovered an abandoned New People’s Army encampment on Saturday, Nov. 12, in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.

Col. Richard Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said the location of the encampment was revealed by a former NPA rebel.
Police and military operatives unearthed noodles, assorted bottled condiments, kilos of rice, casserole, M16 ammunition, M14 ammunition, M14 magazine, two M16 magazines, flashlights, batteries, glue sets, and other war materials.
Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen, Central Luzon police chief, vowed no let-up in the anti-insurgency campaign.
“Our campaign against insurgency has no let-up. Due to our non-stop efforts together with the AFP, the CTGs continue to suffer setbacks. We are doing the best we can to eventually achieve the goal of RTF-ELCAC," Pasiwen said.
