Operatives of Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested 20 drug suspects and seized a total of P313,022 worth of alleged shabu in nine anti-criminality operations in the city on Saturday, Nov. 12, and Sunday, Nov. 13.
QCPD La Loma Police Station (PS 1) arrested three suspects, identified as Bobby Mohamad, 21; Lennie Pamisa Montero, 47, both residents of Brgy. Balon-Bato, Quezon City, and Rusty Tulakan, 20, resident of Lucena City, Quezon.
Police said the three suspects were arrested at A. Bonifacio Ave. Clover Leaf, Balintawak in Brgy. Balingasa, Quezon City on Saturday at about 9 a.m.
They were initially arrested for illegal gambling (cara y cruz), but police found 0.15 grams of 'shabu' worth P1,020 after the suspect underwent a body search.
In a separate anti-criminality operation, PS 1 members arrested four drug suspects at Don Pepe St. Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Quezon City, on Saturday at about 7:30 a.m.
The suspects were identified as Frederico Reyes, 30, a resident of Brgy. Talayan, Quezon City, Michael Vidal, 40, a resident of Brgy. Tatalon, Quezon City, Junifer Calucir, 32, a resident of Timog Avenue, Quezon City and Jeffrey Sanguir, 38, a resident of Paco, Manila.
Recovered from the suspects were 0.20 grams of 'shabu' worth P1,240.
Meanwhile, QCPD District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) arrested a man identified as Jhun Carlo Guilao, 27, a resident of Brgy. Baesa, Quezon City, in a buy-bust operation at Jordan Valley St., Jordan Subdivision, Brgy. Baesa, Quezon City on Saturday at about 6:20 p.m.
DDEU conducted a buy-bust operation after an informant reported illegal drug peddling activities in the said area.
Seized from the suspect were 32 grams of shabu worth P217,600, the buy-bust money, a cellular phone, and a pink Yamaha Mio Sporty.
Another buy-bust operation was conducted by QCPD Pasong Putik Proper Police Station (PS 16) at Regalado Avenue in Brgy. Greater Lagro, Quezon City, at about 7:38 p.m. on Saturday.
Lt. Col. Vicente Bumalay Jr. identified the suspect as Katherine Nazarionda, 33, resident of Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Seized were eight grams of 'shabu' worth P54,400, the buy-bust money, and a cellular phone.
In an anti-criminality operation conducted by QCPD Novaliches Police Station (PS 4), two suspects, identified as Jayson Borja, 36 and Matoy Deloso Sugano, 26, were arrested near their residence in Brgy. Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City on Saturday at about 11:20 p.m.
Police said the two suspects were arrested for playing cara y cruz but later found 'shabu' in their possessions.
Recovered from the suspects were one gram of 'shabu' worth P6,800.
Meanwhile, QCPD Anonas Police Station (PS 9) arrested four drug suspects identified as Chris Asuncion Enriquez, 32; Richard Solomon Gacias, 29; Collins Agranum Gallardo, 52 and Mark Anthony Puda Cacho, 26, all residents of Brgy. Old Capitol, Quezon City.
PS9 said the suspects were collared at Dahlia Extension Brgy. Old Capitol Site, Quezon City at about 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Two grams of shabu worth P13,600, buy-bust money, and two cellular phones were confiscated from the suspects.
Members of QCPD Batasan Police Station (PS 6) also arrested a drug suspect in a buy-bust operation at Malaya St. Freedom Park 1, Brgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Lt. Col. Morgan Aguilar identified the suspect as Gabriel Obsenares Calvar, 30, and a resident of Brgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City.
Seized from the suspect were one gram of 'shabu' worth P6,800 and the buy-bust money.
In a separate buy-bust operation, PS 6 arrested two suspects along Batasan Road in Brgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City on Sunday at about 1:30 a.m.
Police identified the suspect as Jumar Jao Embudo, 42 and Saipodin Saro Saumay, 32, both residents of Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Seized from the suspect were 0.7 grams of 'shabu' worth P4,760 and the buy-bust money.
QCPD Galas Police Station (PS 11) also arrested two suspects in a buy-bust operation conducted along Unang Hakbang St. corner Tomas Pinpin St. Brgy. Sto. Niño in Quezon City on Sunday at about 2:20 a.m.
Lt. Col. Richard Ian Ang identified the suspects as Rodrigo Vergel Gamboa, 23, resident of Sampaloc, Manila and Juanito Arcella, 36, resident of Brgy. Mariana, Quezon City.
Police seized one gram of shabu worth P6,800.00 and the buy-bust money from the suspect.
All the suspects will be charged for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while an additional charge for violation of P.D. 1602 or the Anti-Illegal Gambling for suspects caught for illegal gambling.
