Pedicab driver yields P142,000 worth of shabu in Negros buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY - A pedicab driver was arrested after he allegedly yielded 21 grams of shabu worth P142,800 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, Nov. 12.

Arrested was Amir Apinan, 54, of Barangay Rizal, who is said to be a street level individual, according to the police.

Apinan allegedly sold a shabu to a police agent for P3,100 during a buy-bust.

Apinan, in a media interview, admitted using illegal drugs, but he denied selling drugs.

Police are probing the alleged source of illegal drugs, which, according to the suspect, is from here.
