High-ranking CTG member, three others surrender in Angeles City

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga -- A former high-ranking officer of the Communist terrorist group and three others voluntarily surrendered to the authorities in Angeles City and Zambales on Friday, Nov. 11.

The authorities identified the rebels as ‘Ka Ramon,’ former member of CTG-Militiang Bayan and intelligence officer; ‘Ka Danica,’ also a former member of CTG; and ‘Ka Opie,’ former member of Militiang Bayan in Angeles City.

The joint personnel of Zambales 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company together with other concerned units processed the documentation of the voluntary surrender of the rebels.

Based on a report from the office of BGen. Cesar R. Pasiwen, Police Regional Office 3 Director, the surrendered ex-rebels also turned over a unit of homemade shotgun, four pieces 12-gauge shotgun ammunition, and a hand grenade.
