Faithful had to hear Mass outside the San Juan de Nepomuceno church on Sunday, Nov. 13, for safety.

The Antique Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (Antique PDRRMO) discovered cracks in an inspection at the church listed by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) as a National Historical Site.

The coral stone place of worship is said to be one of the last Catholic churches constructed during the onset of the Philippine Revolution against colonial Spain.

There were several minor damages from the earthquake reported across Anini-y.

The earthquake occurred two weeks after Antique sustained massive damage from severe tropical storm ‘’Paeng.’’

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited Antique last week to check the condition of people.
