Body of missing boat passenger in Cagayan found

APARRI, Cagayan – The body of a passenger missing after their boat sank on the Cagayan River in Barangay Macanaya here on Friday was found on Sunday, Nov. 13.

The victim was identified as Erold Leste.

Leste was found by a fisherman who probed the Cagayan River.

Seven of his companions were rescued after their boat sank.

All of them were residents of this town and were on their way to Barangay Punta here to attend the wake of a relative when their boat sank due to the strong current of the Cagayan River.
