3 security guards wounded in Quezon gun attack

SARIAYA, Quezon – Three security guards were wounded in a gun attack in Sitio Dalampasigan, Barangay Guis-guis Talon, here on Saturday night, Nov. 12.

Police identified the victims as Muslimin Guianon Lim, 21; Esmael Salik Panalandang, 29, and Norodin Ebrahim, 31.

Investigation said the victims were on duty at 10 p.m. when a white van arrived.

One of the suspects opened the window and fired at the victims. Ebrahim managed to retaliate and the suspects fled.

The three security guards sustained bullet wounds and were taken to a hospital.

Police recovered 22 fired cartridges of M16 rifle, four fired cartridges of caliber .45, two fired cartridges of caliber 9 mm, and empty shells of a 12-gauge shotgun.

Police are conducting an in-depth investigation and follow-up operation against the suspects.
