The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) turned over lotto and small town lottery (STL) shares worth P18,050,052.33 to Mindanao local government units (LGUs) in a ceremony in Davao del Norte.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Nov. 11, PCSO said that the checks were personally handed by PCSO General Manager Mel Robles together with Assistant General Manager for Branch Operations Sector Remeliza M. Gabuyo.
The STL checks were received by representatives from the following LGUs: Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte, Davao De Oro, Davao Del Norte, Davao Del Sur, Davao Oriental, Iligan City, Lanao Del Norte, South Cotabato, Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat, Pantucan, Davao De Oro, Province of Zamboanga Del Sur, and Province of Zamboanga Zibugay.

Last Oct. 24, PCSO also dispensed P9.3-million worth of STL to the National Bureau of Investigation.
Mandaluyong LGU also recived P2.7-million STL share from the agency last Oct. 14.
Under the law, PCSO is required to allot 30 percent of its income to charity services, 55 percent to game prizes, and the remaining 15 percent to operations.
