BTS' Jungkook to perform at FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Qatar
K-pop superstars BTS' Jungkook will be performing at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
This was announced on BTS’ official Twitter account on Nov. 12.

In addition, it was revealed that Jungkook is part of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Soundtrack.
“Proud to announce that Jung Kook is part of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Soundtrack & will perform at the World Cup opening ceremony. Stay tuned!” the BTS account tweeted.
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremony will be held on Nov. 20 at the Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor, Qatar. Host country Qatar will play against Ecuador in the opening match.
Last Oct. 24, Jungkook was spotted at the Seoul Gimpo Business Aviation Center (SGBAC) to board his flight to Qatar.
In Qatar, Jungkook was seen by fans filming and said it could be related to the World Cup. He returned to South Korea via the same aviation center on Oct. 27.
According to the FIFA World Cup website, the official soundtrack of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will feature different artists.
“It is the first time that the tournament’s soundtrack will feature a multi-song collection, with international artists showcasing diverse musical genres that span the world, setting the tone for a truly global celebration,” according to the website.
“Hayya Hayya (Better Together)” was the first single to be released from the multi-song FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Soundtrack.
