Speaker Romualdez looks forward to Vietnam counterpart's PH visit
Vietnam National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue's upcoming visit to the Philippines will "go a long way to foster and enhance the long-standing relationship and partnership" between the two nations.

Thus, said House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Hue’s Filipino counterpart and expectant host.
Romualdez is currently in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to attend the 40th and 41st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and related summits along with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
It was during the summit that Romualdez learned about the upcoming visit of Vietnam’s top parliamentarian later this month.
“I welcome the visit of Vietnam National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to the Philippines this month. This kind of high-level political exchanges and interactions will go a long way to foster and enhance the long-standing relationship and partnership between our two countries,” the Speaker said in a statement Friday, Nov. 11.

“It would be mutually-beneficial for the two countries to strengthen our relationships. We can learn from each other’s best practices in addressing common challenges facing us such as the effects of the pandemic and the headwinds of global inflation,” added Romualdez, who represents Leyte's 1st district in the Philippine House of Representatives.
Romualdez and Hue had a chance to rub elbows during a break in the ASEAN leaders’ interaction with the leadership and delegates of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA).
Hue gave the Speaker a token of his appreciation. Romualdez, thanked Hue for his kind gesture.
Hue's Philippine visit will take place on Nov. 25.
