Royce Cabrera enjoys bonding with Jeric, other stars of 'Start Up PH'

Royce Cabrera said that he's thankful for being cast in the popular Kapuso series "Start Up PH" starring Alden Richards and Bea Alonzo.

During an interview for his upcoming movie "Sa Kanto ng Langit at Lupa" under 3:16 Media Network in Quezon City recently, Royce said that he enjoys bonding with the stars of the series.

"On and off ng 'Start Up PH,' may nabuo na kaming barkadahan nila Boy 2 Quizon and Jeric Gonzales. Kami ang magkakasama madalas. Kahit tapos na ang work or may free time kami, talagang kuwentuhan kami. Nakatulong yun kasi yung chemistry namin, parang natural na sa mga eksena sa Start Up PH," Royce said.

Royce, 26, who rose to fame via the movie "Fuccbois," said that he seldom bonds with Alden and Bea because of their hectic schedules. "Pero minsan nakakasama namin si Alden sa paglalaro ng Mobile Legends. Masaya sa set kahit na iba't iba kami ng personalities. Nagkakasundo talaga kami."

Asked if there's such a thing called Team Bea and Team Alden, Royce said: "Saan galing yun? Wala naman ganun sa taping. Maayos naman ang mga bonding namin. Ang alam kong meron Team Start Up PH."

Just last Nov. 5, Royce appeared in the anthology series "MPK" in the episode entitled "Born to be a Queen: The Edwin Luis Story" where he played a drag queen who was bullied for his sexuality and eventually became an addict, but he was able to pull himself together and decided to be a philanthropist.

Asked about his dream role, Royce said: "Marami pa po pero sa ngayon ang pinaka-dream role ko is magampanan ang role na mala-Joker or yung may split personality na talagang lalampas ako sa limitation ko. So yun ngayon ang dream role ko."

Royce also stars in "Call Me Papi" under Vivamax. When he was told he was busy with projects, the actor said: "Hindi naman marami nagkasabay-sabay lang. Yung Call Me Papi noong pre-pandemic pa namin ginawa ito. Nagkaroon lang tayo ng mga struggles kaya eto sabay-sabay naman silang ipapalabas."

In the movie, Royce plays the role of Lito, a mysterious guy. "Madiskarte siyang tao para mapunan ang mga pangangailangan niya. May ginawa siya na hindi alam ng mga barkada niya at doon na magkakaroon ng conflict."

Asked if he's mysterious in real life, Royce laughed and said: "Siguro lahat naman tayo mnay kanya-kanyang misteryong tinatago. Ako po meron pero ginagamit ko rin yun para maging inspirasyon ng laban sa buhay."

On having a relationship these days, the actor said: "Ngayon po career lang."
