Roberta Tamondong officially crowned as Miss Grand International 5th runner-up

Filipina beauty queen Roberta Tamondong was officially crowned as this year's Miss Grand International 5th runner-up.

She shared a glimpse of the event on her social media account.

In a series of photos, Miss Grand International (MGI) founder and owner Nawat Itsaragrisil could be seen putting the sash and crown on Roberta, who originally finished in the Top 20.

In the caption, the Pinay stunner expressed gratitude.

"Still can’t believe it… no words can describe this beautiful moment for me. A big Thank you to @missgrandinternational @teresa.mgi @nawat.tv for officially welcoming me into the Grand family."

Recall that early this month when the organization appointed Roberta as the new 5th runner-up following Mauritius’ Yuvna Rinishta’s controversial “resignation.”

Anyway, amid Roberta's acceptance of the appointment, Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) later announced that they will no longer renew their franchise with the pageant.
