QC cops arrest Zamboanga's No. 7 most wanted after applying for police clearance
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) personnel arrested Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office’s (PPO) No. 7 most wanted man while securing a police clearance in the city on Thursday, Nov. 10.
Lt. Col. Joseph Almaquer, QCPD Cubao Station (PS 7) commander, identified the suspect as Noveem Spark Bernardino Abdulmajid, 37, Zamboanga Sibugay PPO’s No. 7 Most Wanted Person, from Silang, Cavite.
Police said the suspect applied for a police clearance at the PS 7 at around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. However, his name appeared to have a “hit” in the Philippine National Police E-Warrant System.
Abdulmajid was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of Presidential Decree 532 or highway robbery issued on June 8, 2015 by Presiding Judge Anthony D.T. Isaw, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Regional Trail Court (RTC).
There were also 21 suspects wanted for different violations such as illegal drugs, maltreatment, carnapping, robbery, attempted murder, drunk and drugged driving, grave threats, and others who were arrested by different QCPD police stations.
The courts of origin of the warrants will be notified of the suspects' arrest, police said.
QCPD Director Brig. Gen Nicolas Torre III commended his personnel for the arrest of the wanted men.
