Optional wearing of face masks in work places and mandatory 13th month pay tackled in 'Oh My Job'

This Saturday, in “Oh My Job,” Atty. Alvin B. Curada, Director IV of the Bureau of Working Conditions, will discuss the optional wearing of face masks in work places.

Under Labor Advisory No. 22 which covers this, the the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will clarify certain guidelines in the context of work settings.

How will this new law protect the immuno-compromised persons with comorbidities and the unvaccinated? What are its limitations?

Another hot topic these days is the granting of Christmas Bonus. While it is mandatory to give the 13th month pay, some say it is discretionary. Is there not any law that compels employers to grant it?

"Oh My Job,” hosted by Arnel Ignacio, Tuesday Niu and Director Rolly Francia, airs on Saturdays, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, simultaneously on GTV and DZBB 594 Super Radyo, and live streamed through its Facebook page @OhMyJobPhilippines.
