Jimboy Pasturan and Taine Davis of College of St. Benilde filed a complaint against Jose Rizal University’s John Amores following the physical injury they sustained during the NCAA Season 98 on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
The CSB players, in the presence of head coach Charles Tiu as their witness, filed the case before the San Juan Prosecutor’s Office for serious physical injuries against the temperamental Amores on Friday morning, Nov. 11.
Pasturan and Davis were among the players punched to the ground by the rampaging Amores in the game that saw Benilde take the 71-51 win.
Amores is now facing two separate criminal cases for being involved in a similar incident with UP’s Mark Belmonte last July, who then filed the case at the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office on Sept. 7.
As of writing, the Heavy Bomber forward has not made any statement regarding both of the incidents on top of an indefinite ban from JRU and the NCAA.
