“Congratulations po sa ating mga na hired on-the-spot! Galingan niyo po, mga Batang Kankaloo. Kung ano man po ang posisyon niyo ngayon, sikapin niyo pong pagbutihin para sa inyong mga pamilya (Congratulations to those who were hired on-the-spot! Work well, Batang Kankaloo. Whatever your job position now, try to work hard for your families),” Malapitan said.
According to PESO head Violeta Gonzales, 34,610 job opportunities were offered to residents through their agency partners, including SM Supermarket, Watsons, Engineering Equipment Incorporated (EEI) Corporation, Alorica, and VXI Global Solutions.
Malapitan expressed gratitude to their partner agencies for helping them sustain equal opportunities for residents.
“Maraming salamat po sa inyong pagtitiwala sa mga taga-Caloocan. Asahan niyo pong hindi namin ito sasayangin, masisipag at magagaling po ang mga Batang Kankaloo (Thank you very much for your trust in Caloocan residents. We will not waste the opportunity, Batang Kankaloo are hardworking and good),” he said.
Gonzales said over 5,000 residents were hired in three previous job fairs during Mayor Malapitan's first 100 days.
The city's first Mega Job Fair was held last Aug. 17 at SM Grand Central, where 6,000 local and overseas job vacancies were opened from 40 of its partner agencies.
The second job fair was conducted at Caloocan Sports Complex last Aug. 26, and the third was at Caloocan City Hall-South last Oct. 19.
The city government said that when they conduct local recruitment activities, a "one-stop-shop"of government services is also opened for those who will process Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Philhealth and PAGIBIG Fund documents and requirements.
