ILOILO CITY – An Ilonggo topped the Physician Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission last October.

Justin Adriel Zent Gautier Togonon from Iloilo City was No. 1 with a rating of 89 percent.
Togonon is a graduate of the College of Medicine at University of the Philippines (UP)-Manila.
His paternal side of the family is from Tigbauan town, Iloilo province.
At fifth is another Ilonggo, Mark Arlo Hernandez Segundo, with an 87.58 percent rating.
Togonon was valedictorian of the Philippines Science High School-Western Visayas Campus and graduated elementary from Children's Integrated School of Alta Tierra, both schools in this city.
Segundo is a graduate of the College of Medicine at West Visayas State University (WVSU) here.
The WVSU was the No. 8 top performing school in the exam with an 85 percent passing percentage or 99 out of 111 examinees hurdling the licensure test.
The PRC said 3,826 out of 5,958 examinees passed the exam given by the Board of Medicine in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
On Board of Medicine which gave the licensure examination are Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, chairman; and Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Efren C. Laxamana, and Dr. Joanna V. Remo, members.
