Kinalaunan napagtanto naming hindi pala totoo ang pangakong ito,” said Alias Aning, a former rebel and of the beneficiaries.
Most of the beneficiaries were from the towns of Ambaguio, Bagabag, Bayombong, Dupax del Norte, Dupax del Sur, Kasibu, Sta. Fe, and Villa Verde.
Meanwhile, DSWD Region 2 assured the continuous assistance for the former rebels until they are totally reintegrated in mainstream society as the agency actively supports the whole-of-nation approach to end local communist armed conflict.
