KAWIT, Cavite – Mayor Angelo G. Aguinaldo announced on Monday, Oct. 31, the cancellation of classes in public and private schools here from Nov. 2 to 9.
In a Facebook post, Aguinaldo said the class suspension will give residents time to recuperate from the effects of severe tropical storm "Paeng."
"Kailangan ng ating mga mag-aaral, mga guro, at nating lahat nang panahon upang makabangon at makapagpahinga mula sa delubyong ito (Our students, teachers, all of us need time to recover and rest after this deluge)," the mayor said.
On Oct. 31, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. joined the aerial inspection of areas severely affected by "Paeng" in Cavite, which includes Kawit and Noveleta.
Aguinaldo said Marcos assured them of the national government's support as residents try to get back on their feet after the natural disaster.
