Construction worker shot dead by younger brother in Batangas

BALETE, Batangas -- A 49-year-old construction worker was shot dead by his younger brother after an argument over a family feud on Monday afternoon, October 31, in Barangay Palsara of this town.

The Balete Philippine National Police identified the victim as Ruel Katigbak, while the suspect was identified as Prudencio, 46, a driver. Both are residents of the said barangay.

According to the investigation, around 5:40 in the afternoon, the brothers met and had a heated argument that resulted in the suspect shooting the victim in the head.

The victim died on the spot.

The suspect, carrying the unidentified weapon he used in the crime, fled and is now the subject of the Balete PNP manhunt.

A family dispute was seen as the motive behind the brothers' fight.
