Oliver Almadro has resigned from his post as Choco Mucho Flying Titans head coach to focus on Ateneo Lady Eagles, the team management announced on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
The tactician will no longer be calling the shots for the Flying Titans in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) but will remain as a consultant.
“The Choco Mucho FLying Titans organization announces acceptance of the request of Head Coach, Oliver Lamadro - “Coach O”, to step down from his post in CMFT. This decision was reached for him to focus his efforts on developing the Ateneo Women’s Volleyball Program and will take effect immediately,” the post wrote.
The social media post has also announced assistant coach Edjet Mabbayad will now be taking over as interim coach.
Now at the sixth spot with a 2-3 win-loss card, the Flying Titans will face the winless United Auctioneers Inc. Army on the same day at 2:30 p.m. to keep their semifinals bid alive.
Meanwhile, Ateneo, which dropped its Shakey’s Super League campaign, will play its classification match against Perpetual on Friday, Nov. 11.
