Five examinees from Southwestern University entered the top 10 of the October 2022 Optometrist Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Monday, Nov. 7.
It is also the only top-performing school in the said board exam with 65 out of 76 successful passers and an 85.53 percent overall rating, PRC added.
Here are the names of Southwestern University graduates who made it to the top 10 list: Giuseppe Roy Cabatic Campilan in 1st place (89.83 percent), Sheena Rose Rodriquez Dubduban in 3rd place (88.78 percent), Dacel Leah Lopez Aumentado in 5th place (87.57 percent), Mhel Niña Dawn Alvarico Jumawan in 8th place (87.14 percent), and Yna Alyanna Soon Villaver in 10th place (86.66 percent).
A total of 179 out of 285 board takers successfully passed the licensure test given by the Board of Optometry in Manila.
The date and venue of the oathtaking ceremony are yet to be announced by PRC.
"On December 9 and December 12 - 13, 2022, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope," the commission said.
"Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals," it added.
