Over 20,000 take PNP Cadet Admission Test

More than 20,000 applicants trooped to various testing centers across the country to take the entrance examination to the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA).

In a statement, the PNPA said there were 37 testing centers opened on Oct. 29 and 30 for the PNP Cadet Admission Test.

The 20,356 applicants were among those who passed the initial screening from the over 60,000 registration forms submitted.

"Of the validated applications and despite the wrath of Typhoon Paeng, 20,356 physically made it on their schedules translating to 67.5% turn out, lower than the yearly average but way above the minimum threshold of 50%," said PNPA Director Police Brig. Gen. Eric Noble,

“The examinations were conducted successfully and concluded with no reports of any untoward incident,” he added.

The result of the PNPACAT will be published within a month and successful examinees will be notified as they move to the next phase of the cadet admission process which is the physical, medical and dental examination phase, according to Noble.
