TACLOBAN CITY – Brig. Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil said the commemoration of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on Nov. 1 and 2 in Eastern Visayas was generally peaceful.

"I congratulate everyone for establishing strategic measures having favorably zero-incident relative to the observance of the holiday," the Police Regional Office-8 chief said.
Marbil acknowledged the dedication of the police, partner agencies, advocacy groups, and community volunteers in making this year’s ‘’Undas’’ peaceful and orderly.
He said 3,228 uniformed personnel were deployed in private and public cemeteries, seaports, transport terminals, and airports.
Marbil mobilized them to intensify the incident monitoring information awareness campaign through the implementation of security measures and other public advisories.
He added that 491 police assistance desks were established in different places of convergence with the help of 860 members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
Three-thousand force multipliers also assisted in ensuring safety and security during Undas.
