ZAMBOANGA CITY – Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri donated 300 sacks of rice to victims of tropical cyclone ‘’Paeng’’ here.
He turned over these to Mayor John Dalipe on Thursday, Nov. 3.
The donation was in line with “Operation: Tabang Mindanao,” a relief drive organized by the senator’s office for victims of the storm.
Dalipe thanked Zubiri for the donation that will be distributed to over 75,000 families.
Three people were killed while two others reported missing have been located, according to the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO).
The sacks of rice donated by the lawmaker were among the 2,500 purchased from P5 million gathered by friends and supporters of Zubiri.
Zubiri then proceeded to other provinces battered by Paeng – Maguindanao, Cotabato, and Sultan Kudarat.
