The Philippines has condemned the latest missile launches conducted by North Korea, which it said only further increased the tension in the Indo-Pacific region.
In a statement on Friday, Nov. 4, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said North Korea's action only aggravated the tension in the region, and undermined "peace and stability in an already volatile region".
Concerned by the developments, the Philippines called on "all parties to exercise utmost restraint."
The country also urged North Korea "to comply with its obligations under the relevant United Nations (UN) Security Council Resolutions and to commit to the process of constructive and peaceful dialogue with the Republic of Korea".
