An earthquake with a magnitude measuring 3.4 hit Ilocos Norte around 11:56 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The epicenter of the quake was traced 1 kilometer (km) northeast of Dumalneg, Ilocos Norte. It was tectonic in origin, indicating that it was caused by the movement of an active fault near the area.
Latest earthquake information shared by Phivolcs showed that the quake was felt in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte where an Instrumental Intensity I was recorded.
No damage and aftershocks are expected to follow this seismic event.
