Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie "Wes" Gatchalian announced that Nov. 12 (Saturday) will be a special non-working holiday in the city to give way for the celebration of its 399th founding anniversary.

The declaration under Proclamation No. 74, which was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Oct. 14, allows Valenzuela residents to participate in the city's occasion and ceremonies as long as they observe Covid-19 health and safety protocols.

In line with the celebration, various activities and performances will be held in the city, including talent competitions, street dance performances, and parades.

The city government reminded the public to be attentive to their announcements for city offices' operation hours to avoid inconvenience.

Valenzuela City was founded by Juan Taranco and Juan Monsód in 1963, who initiated to separate the city from Bulacan.
