EDSA Busway posts highest ridership

Ridership on the EDSA Busway hit an all-time high in October 2022, peaking at 404,010 on 24 October 2022, and setting a record of 351,531 on average monthly ridership for the first time since starting operations in 2020.

The EDSA Busway is a dedicated median bus lane service launched in conjuncion with the government drive to curb COVID-19 transmission in public transport.

In total, the EDSA Busway has catered to 130,238,608 ridership since it started its operations on 01 June 2020.

Todate, it continues to provide free rides to commuters under the Service Contracting Program.

The service is a collaboration of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
