In celebrating the 30th year of Star Cinema, the film outfit returns to the big screen with "An Inconvenient Love" featuring the popular love team of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.
During its grand media launch held at the Dolphy Theater in the ABS-CBN compound last Oct. 28, fans and members of the press witnessed the full trailer of director Petersen Vargas's debut film under Star Cinema.
Aside from Petersen, Daisy Cayanan, the film's writer, also joined the media launch. The event got more exciting as the lead stars of "An Inconvenient Love" Donny and Belle took part in the launch. Also starring in the movie are Iana Bernardez, Jc Alcantara, Maxene Magalona, and Chino Lui.
Donny and Belle shared how excited and honored they are to be part of the project.
"Of course, we're very grateful that we were given the opportunity to star in this movie, and it being the first one in a while, sobrang nakakahumble po and I'm very proud of what we created and I know we gave our best in this movie," Belle shared during the interview.
Petersen said that making a movie for Star Cinema has always been his dream, and he is thankful to the management for giving him the opportunity.
"Ang ganda nga po isipin nung 30th Anniversary ng Star Cinema, and parang new generation po yung binigyan ng chance ng management, ne-feel po naman na hawak kamay po kaming lahat dun sa pagtanaw ng new vision ng Star Cinema," Petersen also said.
As Donny and Belle displayed their acting prowess, they became the “New Gen Phenomenal Loveteam.” In "An Inconvenient Love," expect Donny and Belle to step into more mature and relatable roles that depict the sentiments of this age.
The hearts of fans, movie lovers, and even K-Drama enthusiasts will surely be captured by the engaging storyline and the youthful film aesthetics. Catch "An Inconvenient Love" on Nov. 23. (Carissa Alcantara)
