This, as the House-initiated relief drive for the storm victims continued on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

"Salamat sa mga staff ng Office of the Speaker at sa mga Secretariat employees ng House of Representatives sa pagbibigay ng oras para sa ating relief operations (Thank you to the staff of the Office of the Speaker and to the Secretariat employees of the House of Representatives for giving their time to our relief operations)," Romualdez, Leyte’s 1st district representative, said in a statement over the weekend.

"Tuloy-tuloy po ang kanilang pagtulong kahit na walang pasok sa opisina para lamang maihatid ang mga relief goods sa mga nangangailangan nating kababayan (They will continue to help amid the holiday to facilitate the delivery of relief good to our countrymen who are in need)," he noted.

"Saludo po ako sa inyong lahat! (I salute all of you!)" Romualdez added, referring to the volunteers.

Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City is the home of the House of Representatives. Since last weekend, it has been transformed into a bustling hub for the sorting and packing of relief goods, which had been donated by the private sector.

Romualdez said the repacking of goods continued up to Monday night, Oct. 31.

"Sa mga nagnanais at interesadong magpadala ng tulong, maari po kayong tumawag sa numerong 09171064969 (For those who want or are interested in sending help, you may contact 09171064969).
