Fifty houses were razed and four persons were hurt when a fire hit a residential area in Taguig on Oct. 31.
According to the Taguig City Fire Station, the fire started from a house at 1041 Purok 9 PNR Site in Barangay Western Bicutan at about 11:22 a.m.



Firefighters raised the first alarm at 11:27 a.m. and reached the fourth alarm at 12:01 p.m. The fire was under control at 12:55 p.m. before it was put out at 1:16 p.m.
About 100 families or 150 individuals were affected by the fire, which damaged P750,000 worth of property.
Four persons were hurt during the fire. The fire station identified them as Lucky delos Santos, 34, who is seven months pregnant and experienced difficulty in breathing; Bonifacio Delos Santos, 71, who suffered a dog bite in the right hand; Christopher Gatcho, 19, who had a lacerated finger; and Simeon Fernandez, 40, who had difficulty in breathing. They were given first aid by the Taguig emergency medical services.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. A total of 57 fire trucks and three ambulances responded to the incident.
Barangay Captain Pedrito Bernas is asking for donations for the victims of the fire.
