The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will facilitate the oath-taking of 321 trainees who will officially become commissioned officers of the force on Monday, Oct. 10.

Adm. Artemio Abu, PCG Commandant, congratulated the 221 male and 110 female draftees who will take their oath at the PCG National Headquarters in Port Area, Manila.
Abu reminded the trainees to always do their best by remembering their purpose in joining the service.
He said that the accomplishment of the tasks by each of the soon-to-be commissioned officers will affect their personal lives, career, and the organization.
The trainees were graduates from the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMAA) and Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP), according to Commodore Gregorio Adel Jr., commander of Coast Guard Human Resource Management Command (CGHRMC).
There were also 22 enlisted personnel and some lawyers who were given a chance to be commissioned officers of the PCG.
