Thirdy Ravena gets last laugh vs Dwight Ramos as San-En beats Hokkaido
Thirdy Ravena got the last laugh in his head-to-head duel with Dwight Ramos as San-En NeoPhoenix scored a 76-57 drubbing of the Levanga Hokkaido in the 2022-23 season of the B.League on Saturday, Oct. 8.

Ramos actually got the better of Ravena in their matchup, finishing with 15 points, five steals and five rebounds against the latter’s only five points on a 2-of-7 shooting from the field. Ramos’ performance went futile as a strong first half from NeoPhoenix allowed them to build a double-digit advantage, 41-28, in the first half.
Kosuke Kanamaru and Yante Mayten provided the one-two punch for San-En with 17 and 15 points, respectively, to keep Hokkaido at bay in the second half.
Ray Parks Jr. also came out victorious as the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins kept their record unblemished after a 94-72 romp of the Ryukyu Golden Kings. He finished with 11 points providing support to Takumi Saito who had 23 points.
Josh Duncan was the lone bright spot for the Kings with 18 points while Filipino Jay Washington went scoreless in limited action.
Meanwhile, Kiefer Ravena scored 10 points and eight assists as Shiga Lakes defeated Niigata Albirex BB, 96-88, in an overtime thriller. The Lakes trailed by as many as 15 points in the third quarter, 58-43, before making a huge run in the third frame behind Thieves Seas and Iva Buba who finished with 25 and 21 points.
Matthew Wright, on the other hand, didn’t see action in Kyoto’s 78-66 loss to FE Nagoya at home.
In B2 League, Greg Slaughter only had four points, two rebounds and two assist in his debut as Fukuoka Rising Zephyr absorbed a narrow 80-76 loss to Ehime Orange Viking.
On the other hand, Jordan Heading continued his steady play with nine points and six assists for Nagasaki Velca which defeated Kagawa Five Arrows, 90-81.
