Hermosa job fair in Zamboanga City lures 1,000 applicants

ZAMBOANGA CITY – More than 1,000 applicants joined the Hermosa job fair organized by the Zamboanga City government in a mall here on Thursday, Oct. 6.

Mayor John Dalipe, together with Department of Labor and Employment Assistant Regional Director Imelda Gatinao, DOLE Field Office officer-in-charge Makaraya Adila, and City Social Welfare and Development Officer Socorro Rojas, led the opening ceremony.

Fifty applicants were hired on the spot and thanked the city government.

Thirty-two companies participated on site with another 10 via drop box.

The annual job fair is organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in collaboration with the DOLE and is one of the activities of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival.
