DepED is 'doing all it can' to convince unvaxxed personnel to get vaccinated vs Covid-19
While getting vaccinated against Covid-19 remains voluntary, the Department of Education (DepED) said that it continues to convince unvaccinated teachers and non-teaching personnel to get vaccinated.

DepEd Spokesperson Michael Poa, during a press conference on Friday, Oct. 7, said that the agency continues to coordinate with the Department of Health (DOH) when it comes to the government’s vaccination program.
Poa said that DepED is not just in regions but also in the central office. “We are coordinating regularly with DOH because we support their vaccination drive,” he explained.
While vaccination is not mandatory, Poa said that DepEd is “doing all it can” with the help of DOH to convince the unvaccinated personnel of the agency to get vaccinated against Covid19.

Under the DepEd Order No. 39 series of 2022 or the Health and Safety Protocols in light of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Poa said that the agency is “reiterating our no discrimination policy in schools in terms of vaccinated and unvaccinated learners as well as teaching and non-teaching personnel.”
